- Paraguaná, Edo. Falcón, Venezuela
- Energy
- 450 MW
Scope of the project
Engineering, Procurement and Construction Project, developed in an area of 32 hectares, for the supply, transportation, installation and commissioning of three generation turbines of 150 MW each (on site), simple cycle and dual fuel system. It has the possibility of future installation of a combined cycle, expanding the installed capacity of the plant.
The Balance of Plant (BOP) covered the liquid fuel storage and treatment systems, gas compression and treatment, service air, instruments and drinking water. Likewise demineralized water systems, effluent collection and treatment, control and telecommunications, as well as service buildings, control room, administrative buildings, warehouse and maintenance workshop. It also included the training of personnel responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant.
Impact
More than 200 users benefited from this project. The transmission network was expanded to take advantage of the energy generation at the Josefa Camejo thermoelectric plant.
Likewise, the improvement of the quality and reliability of the electrical service was achieved, and thus managed to satisfy the growth in electrical demand of the Paraguaná Refining Complex, Zona Franca, the communities of Falcón and the National Interconnected System.
